"Award Winner, Portraiture Category, Alamena State Prison for the Criminally Insane"

[Name withheld for privacy]

Each year the Alamena State Prison hosts a show of inmate paintings and sculptures produced as part of their art therapy program. The 1986 winner was this incisive portrait which may or may not represent the artist's father, or at least the parts that were found after he was run through the sausage grinder at the family's pork store.
