Punishment Armor
Japan, 16th century CE
82" (208 cm) height ~ Iron, silk straps, other material

Woe to the misbehaving soldier during the Momoyama Period under the rule of the heartless Ogimachi! The unlucky miscreant was strapped into special unyielding iron armor and placed in the hot sun in the middle of the parade ground from sunrise to sunset.

As if the heat weren't torture enough, at some point the victim's bladder and bowels would give way, and Oh! how the other soldiers would laugh and laugh and call out cruel nicknames involving potty training and incontinence. It was not much fun to be a soldier during the Momoyama Period, under the rule of the heartless Ogimachi. No sir!
